Privacy
I’m Patrik Lleshaj, and I operate this website from Switzerland. You can browse without an account. I don’t use advertising trackers. Optional GoatCounter analytics runs only if you allow it.
Hosting
I host this website myself, on my own server in Switzerland. To deliver it and protect it against attacks, the server processes IP addresses and request details such as the time, the requested page and the browser. The server keeps access logs with these details for up to 90 days. Backups of the server, kept on my own backup server and as encrypted copies with Microsoft Azure in Switzerland, can contain them for longer. IP addresses that probe the server for weaknesses can be blocked for up to one year.
Cookies and browser preferences
This site does not set analytics or advertising cookies. Your light or dark theme is saved under pl-theme. If you choose to allow or decline analytics, this choice is stored in your browser under pl-analytics. Neither preference is sent to a server. You can change either choice or remove it by clearing this site’s browser data. Without a saved theme choice, the site uses the light theme.
Analytics
I use GoatCounter to count visits and see which sites send visitors here. It loads only after you choose “Allow analytics”. If you decline, the site sends no page data to GoatCounter. The figures show visits from browsers that allow analytics. They do not show how many different people read a page. You can change your choice below.
After you allow analytics, GoatCounter receives the page path and title, plus the referrer when your browser provides one. It uses your IP address and browser details in memory for up to eight hours to group visits. GoatCounter says it does not store those raw details. With session counting on, it counts each page at most once per session in that period; reloading the same page does not count again.
The dashboard stores aggregate visit counts by page and hour or day, plus referrers. Individual pageview records and summaries of browser, operating system, screen size, country, region and language are disabled. GoatCounter uses servers in Finland and Germany and operates from Ireland. I keep the statistics until I delete the site account; backups may remain for up to 30 days.
This website serves its own fonts and images. The search runs in your browser without sending your search terms to a search service.
